Mission Small Business Voting Period Ends June 30th, 2012

June 25, 2012 by: Sharon Roberts

Chase has designated $1 million dollars for 4 small businesses.  For each vote of support Chase will add a minimum of $5 dollars to the grant pool until the pool reaches the maximum of 3 million.  The 3 million has been reach and 12 small business which have gained 250 votes by June 30th will compete for  the 250,000 grant.  A month ago it looked like few businesses would make the 250 votes, now many businesses will have the opportunity to qualify for this grant.

In addition to the Grant, LivingSocial shall offer Grant Recipients the opportunity to meet with its social media and sales executives, and will work with each Grant Recipient to design a LivingSocial promotion for the Grant Recipient’s business.  LivingSocial will waive its standard commission for such promotion services, and any such promotion will be subject to LivingSocial’s merchant policies, timing and limitations determined in LivingSocial’s discretion, as well as Grant Recipient executing LivingSocial’s then current standard merchant marketing agreement.

When St. Bernard Lodge started asking for votes of support it looked like a long shot, now we are 35 votes away.  Please consider supporting our business by going to www.missionsmallbusiness.com Enter St. Bernard Lodge, California, Mill Creek.  Thank-you in advance for supporting our business.

At this time only 62 businesses in the Shasta Cascade region have registered for this grant.  Only 5 have the required 250 votes.  St. Bernard Lodge is working to obtain 35 more votes of support.  We appreciate Chase and Living Social in making this grant available.  A big thanks to everyone who took the time to vote, your votes increased the grant pool to 3 million and now 12 businesses and communities will be helped.

It is a long shot but we are looking forward to seeing at least one business from the Shasta Cascade Region obtain this grant.  I am sure that any business in the area will make great use of the 250,000 and give a boast to the community in general.  St. Bernard Lodge is looking forward to the opportunity this grant would provide in expansion of our business and jobs created.

Once again, just to be considered for the money, a business must generate 250 votes on Facebook by Saturday. You can vote at www.missionsmallbusiness.com. Names of all businesses signed up appear on the site, take a minute and check it out.

Businesses that get the votes will then be judged by a panel that will pick the winners, the winners will be announced by Sept. 15th, 2012.  St. Bernard Lodge is looking to be one of the winners.

St. Bernard Lodge would like to restore and fully stock large pond on the property and add 5 cabins with private bathrooms for guests.  Please leave comments below on suggestions to improve St. Bernard Lodge and the property if we are able to attain this grant.
