California Watchable Wildlife Photography Contest 2017
February 8, 2017 by: Sharon Roberts
California Watchable Wildlife has launched another yearlong photo contest in cooperation with Outdoor California. This contest runs through October 31st, 2017. For a list of eligible viewing sites, information on submitting photos and terms of use, visit cawatchablewildlife.org
Keep your camera out when visiting North Eastern California. We have several viewing areas close to St. Bernard Lodge. Of course Lassen Volcanic National Park as well as Eagle Lake, Bizz Johnson Trail, McArthur Burney Falls State Park and Coleman National Fish Hatchery.
Lassen Park, Burnery Falls and Eagle Lake all offer opportunities for great wildlife photos year-round. Bizz Johnson Trail is special during the fall months.
Images must be taken at a California Watchable Wildlife viewing site. Images may show any native California species, wildlife in its native habitat, animal behavior, seasonal abundance of wildlife or people interacting with nature.
Each photographer may enter up to two photos per month. Three monthly prizes will be awarded, with monthly winners announced in Outdoor California magazine and on the California Watchable Wildlife website. Grand prize winner will be announced in January 2018
Good luck and enjoy the outdoors in Northern California. Submission Guidelines.
