The Lassen Park Foundation will be hosting ” A Passion For Lassen” to benefit a variety of park uses on August 25th. The uses include at-risk youth camping, rehabilitation of the Lassen Peak Trail, and improving on the historical and geological information for the enjoyment of park visitors.
August 25th is the 96th anniversary of the National Park Service and Lassen Volcanic National Park. Lassen park was established August 9th, 1916. Join Lassen and the Lassen Park Foundation in celebrating this milestone.
Special events for this celebration begin at 4 pm at the Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center located at the southwest entrance of the park. There will be a barbecue, cocktails and silent auction beginning at 4 pm, followed by dinner and oral auction. Evening casual attire: Tickets $150 per couple, $75 per person

Auction items include a signed George Rodrigue silkscreen print, a private airplane flight to Carmel for a game of golf and lunch for four, a four-night stay in a luxurious vacation home at the Sunriver Resort in Oregon, a three-night stay in a deluxe cabin for six at Elk Meadow in Redwood National Park, a three night stay at Drakesbad Guest Ranch located near Warner Valley in the SE corner of Lassen Volcanic National Park, a day trip for four with lunch at Angel Island State Park, and a two night stay in a tent cabin in the Redwoods at Big Basin State Park.
