3rd Annual Courage Triathlon - Lake Almanor
May 19, 2017 by: Sharon Roberts
What is Courage Run?
An awesome group of law enforcement partners started the fund raising event " Courage Triathlon" at Lake Almanor in 2015. This is the third year that dedicated volunteers have worked together to produce a quality event that is a lot od fun for al participating. The funds raised go directly to Courage Worldwide.
Last year's event was a great success we are expecting this year to be bigger and better! Please join us August 26th on the west shore of Lake Almanor.
The mantra at Courage Worldwide...'Do what you love to do for these kids!' So for all of you who like to compete and get out in the great outdoors- this is an event for you! It supports a great cause! Children who are being trafficked for sex need a home and family, and at Courage Worldwide they give them that- they are called Courage Houses! So while you run, bike and kayak, volunteer, or sponsor know that you are making a huge difference to help solve this worldwide problem.
What is the Courage Triathlon?
Courage Triathlon is a "mini sprint" consisting of three legs: 2.8 mile run, 7.1 mile bike and 4.1 mile kayak.
Participate as an individual or as a three-person team!
Note: Participants will need to supply their own bikes and kayaks. Participants will also be required to wear a helmet for the bike section and a personal flotation device for the kayak section of the race.
